Health & Testing
Every puppy is examined by our licensed Ohio veterinarian before going home. First shots, deworming x3, and microchip included. Parents tested through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals for hips, elbows, and cardiac. We provide OFA numbers and AKC paperwork at pickup. Temperament
The Cane Corso is a working guardian breed. Per the AKC Breed Standard, they are reserved with strangers but affectionate with family. Early socialization is mandatory. We start Puppy Culture protocols at 3 weeks: sound desensitization, surface training, and bite inhibition. All puppies are raised with children and exposed to household noises.
Training Requirements
Cane Corsos need firm, fair, consistent training from day one. We recommend enrolling in puppy classes by 12 weeks. The AKC Canine Good Citizen Program is an excellent goal for all Cane Corso owners. This breed is intelligent but will test boundaries. Not recommended for first-time dog owners.
Size & Exercise | Cane Corso Puppies Ohio
Males 100-110 lbs, 25-27.5″ at shoulder. Females 85-95 lbs, 23.5-26″ at shoulder full grown. Expect 2+ hours of exercise and mental stimulation daily as adults. Secure 6ft fencing required. Cane Corsos do not do well in apartments.
